With now three full-length albums and Grammy nominations under their collective belts, I Prevail have proven that they’re not just a band who got big off a cover. Appealing to a wide range of rock and metal fans, their new album True Power just dropped on August 19th – and they celebrated the occasion in their home state of Michigan in a very special way.
The Detroit Tigers may be having an awful season (they’re last in MLB in runs scored), but even through some truly abysmal baseball (remember when they won only 43 games in 2003?), their fan support has maintained. Considering I Prevail are one of the biggest newer bands to emerge from the state of Michigan, it only makes sense that they’d invite I Prevail to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, which they did at a game against the Angels.
Thanks to Southfield's own @IPrevailBand for today's ceremonial first pitches! pic.twitter.com/amY09RuPSU

It’s obviously not the first time musicians have appeared at sporting events, and we probably don’t need to tell you that. However, for a band like I Prevail to do this? Pretty cool stuff.
I literally said to @andrew_v16 yesterday, “what if I Prevail throws out the first pitch today?” AND I MISSED IT BY ONE DAY. https://t.co/jOhOtCLTay
