Music. Gaming. Nostalgia. Culture.

How far have Trapt fallen? They’re now using AI art for their new single, and it looks worse than you could imagine

Life is tough for Trapt’s Chris Taylor Brown right now. When he’s not feuding with local bands or making music that’s much, much worse than anything Trapt created during their (admittedly) pretty successful first few album cycles, he’s headlining shows in small cities across the USA, who are usually only there to see “Headstrong” played four times (and an acoustic version of it, for good measure). Chris Taylor Brown can only blame himself, though. From spouting off some incredibly uninformed political opinions to insulting and then blocking anyone who attempts to troll him, it’s a cautionary tale of how NOT to utilize your social media branding.

There was a point in time where Trapt actually opened for one of Motley Crue’s biggest tours. Now they’re lucky to draw 50-100 people whenever they do tour or play shows. Hilariously, Trapt is now cutting costs by using AI art for their recent single “Meant To Be”. If you’ve seen some terrible and obvious AI art over the last couple years or so, this one might take the cake as the worst we’ve seen yet. There’s literally a wall in the single art that looks like a breakable one from a video game, seriously. Trapt will forever be destined to be a one-hit wonder of a band, and the statistics continue to bear that out. After all, this is the same vocalist who claimed that 2020’s Shadow Work sold a lot of records in its first week, but the numbers never lie. But HEADSTRONG, bro.
