After recent surgery on his back and a cancelation of a bunch of dates with Slaves, Jonny Craig is making his return to the touring circuit. However, it’s only for a few days in Texas. Joining him on the tour are Long Beach alternative rock band Hearts Like Lions (FFO: As Cities Burn, Mutemath) and Milwaukee alternative/indie band Dreamhouse (FFO: Circa Survive, Saosin).
In case you missed it, back in February Jonny released this statement about his health and having to postpone shows:
“Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I have been forced to postpone the upcoming shows in Texas and New York City.
Over the past few weeks I had been experiencing severe back pain. After consulting with the doctor it was clear that surgery was necessary. In this time, I have undergone three back surgeries. I’m beginning post surgery recovery and will have to remain hospitalized for the present time to properly heal from these surgeries and get back to full health before I can perform.
It hurts me so much to postpone these shows, but I hope you understand this is something I need to do for my health. I am going to work to ensure that these rescheduled shows are extra special. Once I know my recovery timeline, I will get these shows rescheduled and announced as soon as possible. All tickets will remain valid and will be honored at the rescheduled shows. A special thank you to Third String Productions, Twin Productions, and New Island for their understanding and help with rescheduling these shows.
Thank you for your continuous support.
Love,
Jonny”
