Holy Fawn announces new album ‘Dimensional Bleed’, releases massive title track

Arizona shoegaze/post-metal band Holy Fawn announced a September 9 release for their second full-length album, titled Dimensional Bleed.  The single “Death is a Relief” released earlier in March, and will appear as track 2 on the album.  Additionally, a new black and white video provides an ominous visualizer for the heavily blackgaze-inspired title track.  While “Dimensional Bleed” is under half the length of “Death is a Relief”, it’s likely the heaviest Holy Fawn song to date.  The band’s vocalist Ryan Osterman, also a former guitarist of alternative rock group The Maine, alternates between his familiar ethereal singing and intense screams.  Similarly, the instrumentation is dynamic, including heavy guitar, piano, and electronics, while maintaining a dark undercurrent throughout.

In summary, Holy Fawn continues to stay true to their atmospheric, nocturnal sound and aesthetic established on their debut album Death Spells.  However, they refuse to remain stagnant as both singles explore different components of shoegaze, metal and alternative rock.

To coincide with the release of their new album, Holy Fawn will be touring in the U.S. along with Astronoid this September.  Listeners can pre-order or pre-save Dimensional Bleed here.
