Here’s a story about the time Jawbreaker toured with Nirvana and Mudhoney

I’ve always told anyone who will listen to me that today’s current crop of pop-punk bands (Real Friends, Neck Deep, even “oldsters” like New Found Glory) are indebted to many bands, but other than maybe The Get Up Kids, Jawbreaker’s 1995 classic Dear You (and preceding albums 24 Hour Revenge Therapy, Bivouac, and Unfun) did more for today’s pop-punk and emo bands than almost any other album. The band, however, was always rooted in punk rock – helping them land a successful tour in 1993 with some bands named Mudhoney and Nirvana.

Today, the band shared a story of that tour on their Facebook page, along with an accompanying photo of Kurt Cobain wearing a Jawbreaker t-shirt. Check that out below.
