HAWK, formerly known as This Or The Apocalypse, have released their second single “Counter Ops” as the band’s Rage Fest tour support slot begins this weekend. Recorded by the band in their Lancaster, PA studio and mixed/mastered by Andreas Magnusson (Fit For A King, Thousand Below), vocalist Ricky Armellino spoke about his frame of mind behind the lyrics “Counter Ops is just a description of how I feel when I look at the internet.” Adding, “people have gotten toxic enough that they don’t even argue, they actually pretend to be someone ‘on the other side’, they say a bunch of unhinged shit, then they go back to their clubs so that they can all complain about it. I don’t like clubs.”
HAWK kicked-off their summer touring earlier this month, supporting Ice Nine Kills, and will now cross the country as a part of the Crown The Empire headlined Rage Fest, along with Attila, Veil of Maya, Life Right Now, and Gideon.
