Effy’s Big Gay Brunch 5

Hoffman Estates, IL

Sept. 4th, 2022

Singles Match
Devon Monroe vs. Jai Vidal

Finishing move here looked really good. This was actually a really good opening match. Good back and forth between both wrestlers. A few sloppy moves or taking a second to set up but it didn’t matter. Crowd was super into this one as well. Well done to them both here.

3.5 / 5

Admiral Lord Mountevans Rules Match
Edith Surreal (w/Mike Bailey) vs. Jordan Blade (w/Janai Kai & Yoya)

A total buzzkill of a match after a banger of an opener. Confusing rules and it dragged along. Ending it with a draw where the crowd and even commentary was confused by it all and boo’d it was the cherry on top.

.5 / 5

Gayest Tag Gayntlet Match
MSP (Aiden Aggro & The DangerKid) vs. The Runway (Calvin Couture & Tyler Klein) vs. Money Power Respect (Fabuloso Fabricio & Marco Mayur) (w/Pollo Del Mar) vs. Joey Mayburry & Mateo Valentine vs. The McQueens (Dillon McQueen & Eddy McQueen)

A really long multi tag team match that just dragged on so badly. Having 2 teams fight with the winner facing a new team just dragged on since each new team took a longer entrance. None of the matches or spots were super exciting then it just anticlimactically ended.

Singles Match
Ashton Starr vs. Sandra Moone

A decent match with some good spots. Both wrestlers looked good but still not sure if Star was hurt or not after the beginning moments.

2 / 5

Six Way Scramble Match
Chase Burnett vs. Aaron Rourke vs. Armani Kayos vs. Da Shade vs. Jeyla Jay vs. Moondog Murray

A few decent spots here but a lackluster scramble match. Dragged in bits but mainly just felt uneventful.

1.5 / 5

No Disqualification Match
Parrow vs. Kidd Bandit

Another awful match here. Dragged on forever and barely classifies as a wrestling match. Few spots here and there but that was it.

1 / 5

Three Way Match
Dark Sheik vs. Taya Valkyrie vs. Allie Katch

Just an okay 3 way match. Felt like it never hit its stride and a few of its most memorable spots were sloppy. 3 solid wrestlers though but it just fell short.

2 / 5

Singles Match
Effy vs. Max The Impaler (w/Amy Rose)

Mediocre main event. Few decent spots but nothing really special here. Dragged along mostly.

2 / 5
