Bob Burns, drummer and founding member of the iconic band Lynyrd Skynyrd, has died in a single car wreck in Cartersville, Georgia, at the age of 64.
According to reports: at approximately 11:56PM, Friday night (April 3), Burns veered off of Tower Ridge Road and hit a mailbox and tree.
Georgia State Patrol spokesperson stated that Burns was not wearing a seatbelt and was the only person in the vehicle.
It is still unknown if weather played a part in the accident.More to come as the details become available.
