Filipino progressive metalcore band Orca explode with new single, “11th Hour”

Generally speaking, the “eleventh hour” is known as the last possible moment to get something done. It’s a phrase often used to describe procrastinators, those who are habitually late to do something, etc. Whether this descriptor applies to Orca, a progressive metalcore band from the Philippines, though, is anyone’s guess. Perhaps the name sounded cool. Or perhaps you should just read the lyrics to the song and decide for yourself. Yeah, the latter sounds like a better idea.

Anyway, what you need to know about Orca is this. They’ve already gained a foothold overseas by playing Germany’s Wacken Open Air, exposing them to a much wider audience. Orca have also become one of the Philippines’ hottest heavy properties, alongside like-minded bands like Lostthreads and Lilith, just to name but two. Clearly, there’s something in the water there that just breeds exciting new talents, so if you’re not already acclimated to Orca, it’s probably a good idea to get that way.
