Tampa boys Agerasia have dropped one of the most intense comeback EP’s I’ve seen come out of this local scene in a good minute. After multiple member changes and trimming the lineup down from the original 7 to the current 4, this band has finally found its groove.

The EP starts off with a heavy hitting intro to start everything off right. The second song on Malice is ‘Process’ which contains a section that fulfills a circle-pitter’s dream and heavy parts to make all the moshers move.

The third track on the EP is the single and title track, “Malice,” that has killer riffs and chugs. This song truly shows the development of this band with different vocal styles and a two-step section to make any hardcore kid fall in love. This is the pretty much the catchiest track on the EP and I am starting to understand why this was the single. “Malice” also contains a strong interlude that delivers a heavy beat while giving the album a little more light and a breath of fresh air.

To close the EP out is the song “Anxiety,” which starts out with attention grabbing leads and lyrics that keep you wanting to know what will happen next.

This album is very complex and I feel like it fits the local music scene so well. Every song has influences from different genres which makes it an easy listen for any heavy music fan. I am so impressed with how this band has progressed and is making a name for themselves. They are starting to prove why they are moving towards the top of this music scene.
