ECW – November To Remember 1999 (Wrestling Review)

ECW

November To Remember

Buffalo, New York

Nov. 7th, 1999

Singles Match
Spike Dudley vs. Simon Diamond (w/Dick Hertz)

A fine starting match. Quick and Spike was always over with the crowd.

1.5 / 5

Singles Match
Nova vs. Little Guido (w/Sal E. Graziano)

A quick but acceptable match. Nothing special but still not bad.

1.5 / 5

Three Way Elimination Match
Yoshihiro Tajiri (w/Jack Victory & Steve Corino) vs. Super Crazy vs. Jerry Lynn

A fine 3 way match with 3 legends here. Nothing super special but it moved along fast and they all hit their biggest spots.

2.5 / 5

Four On Three Handicap Match
Axl Rotten, Balls Mahoney & New Jack vs. Da Baldies (Angel, DeVito, PN Neuz & Vito LoGrasso)

Matches like this are hard to rate because only a small group will like this. It was chaos and could have been way bloodier. ECWs camera crew also misses several moments with either the wrong camera angle or no angle at all. Its still 9 minutes of crappy hardcore greatness though.

2.5 / 5

Singles Match
Sabu (w/Bill Alfonso) vs. Chris Candido (w/Tammy Lynn Sytch)

Candido pretty much carried this match with Sabu just going through the motions but still hitting the big spots pretty great. This was pretty much a brawl that could have been a few minutes shorter but still ended up being fun.

3 / 5

ECW World Heavyweight Title Match
Mike Awesome (c) (w/Jeff Jones) vs. Masato Tanaka

Is this their best match, no. These two couldn’t put on a bad match if they tried. This was all the big spots but done fast. They sped through this and kept the action lightning fast.

4 / 5

ECW World Television Title Match
Rob Van Dam (w/Bill Alfonso) (c) vs. Taz

Not a bad match but another one where it wasn’t their best. RVD went through the motions but they still hit a lot of the big moments here.

2 / 5

Six Man Tag Team Match
Rhino & The Impact Players (Justin Credible & Lance Storm) (w/Dawn Marie & Jason) vs. Raven, The Sandman & Tommy Dreamer (w/Francine)

A sloppy and quite bad main event. It turned into a brawl after a few minutes where nothing exciting really happens. Dreamer spends the end outside the ring fighting someone not even in the match. Raven hits his own teammate then stands there until someone else comes around and he just goes at them so the match can finish. It was a lot of big names doing a lot of nothing here.
