ECW “Hardcore Heaven” 1995 (Wrestling Review)

ECW

Hardcore Heaven

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

July 1st, 1995

Tag Team Match
The Pitbulls (Pitbull #1 & Pitbull #2) (w/Beulah McGillicutty, Raven & Stevie Richards) vs. The Dudleys (Dudley Dudley & Snot Dudley) (w/Big Dick Dudley)

More of a story match to show off some different characters. Match itself was bad.

Tag Team Match
Broad Street Bully & Chad Austin vs. Dino Sandoff & Don E. Allen

Joey Styles talking crap about this “match” was the best part.

.25 / 5

Singles Match
Hack Myers vs. Big Malley

Two big guys who can’t wrestle, one who can barely even move. Not sure why this got 6 minutes.

.25 / 5

Singles Match
Taz (w/Paul E. Dangerously) vs. Too Cold Scorpio

A boring match with 2 Cold not doing any high flying stuff mostly. Last section picked up but still nothing good by either one.

ECW World Tag Team Title Match
Raven & Stevie Richards (w/Beulah McGillicutty) (c) vs. Luna Vachon & Tommy Dreamer

A frantic brawl but also one that was hard to watch. A lot of down time and the camera not following the best.

1.5 / 5

Taipei Death Match
Ian Rotten vs. Axl Rotten

When the match finally got started this was fun. Stupidly bloody like you’d expect from both Rottens. No actual wrestling really but just bloody punches and boy did both men bleed.

3 / 5

ECW World Heavyweight Title Match
The Sandman (w/Woman) (c) vs. Cactus Jack

Man for these two being hardcore guys and there being both canes and barbed wires here this was a boring bout. The crowd wasn’t into it much either. Add the ref bump and Douglas running in and this just wasn’t good.

1 / 5

Tag Team Match
The Gangstas (Mustafa & New Jack) vs. The Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge & Rocco Rock)

A fun hardcore brawl. Some good blood, tons of weapons, fun spots, and sent the crowd home happy at least with violence. Helped both teams had some issues both personal and story wise.
