Acting like Demi Lovato hasn’t always been a fan of rock and metal is foolish. Considering Lovato has always been a fan of bands like Bring Me The Horizon and Underoath, pigeonholing Lovato as only a pop musician is doing them an injustice. The new song is the first single taken from Lovato’s upcoming album ‘HOLY FVCK’ , due out August 18th, 2022. It’s refreshing to see Demi Lovato return to a more rock approach, but with the grittiness of alternative rock. Reminiscent of Hole’s “Celebrity Skin”, “Skin Of My Teeth” was released with a compelling music video directed by Nick Harwood to help elevate the message of the song.
