May 4th marked the 10th anniversary of Deftones’ critically acclaimed album, Diamond Eyes. An album that took the alt-metal band to new musical heights, it was their first record without bassist Chi Cheng, who sadly passed away a few years later. To celebrate, the band released a limited edition merch collection yesterday, but that’s not the only way they’ll be celebrating the record, which produced some of their best-loved tracks like the title track, “976-EVIL”, and “Sextape”.
The band announced a livestream celebration of the album that’ll happen on their official Youtube at 6pm PDT/9pm EDT. It’s probably the best way to spend 45 minutes at night, anyway.
To commemorate 10 years of Diamond Eyes, we invite you to join our global listening party on YouTube tomorrow night. Wherever you are, we hope to share 45 minutes together at home to celebrate the album. https://t.co/60FBpq8U30 #DiamondEyes10
