The Dangerous Summer finish tracking first new music since 2013

In the mid to late 2000’s, a new group of varied pop-punk and alternative rock musicians emerged into the music scene. It may be true that certain bands reached greater commercial heights than others (Mayday Parade was certainly a big one), but Baltimore’s The Dangerous Summer was a veritable phenomenon when they burst onto the scene with 2009’s debut full-length Reach For The Sun. Clearly influenced by the songwriting of Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World, the band toured everywhere and released two more acclaimed full-lengths before calling it quits a few years ago due to issues with former guitarist Cody Payne.

However, the band recently got back together to record album #4, and re-signed to Hopeless Records as well. Given the band’s strong songwriting skills, the upcoming material is likely to be just as good as anything done previously – and according to the band’s social media accounts, the new record is finished tracking.
