Currents detail sophomore full-length, release new song + video for “A Flag To Wave”

The future is now for Connecticut metalcore band Currents. Their 2017 debut full-length The Place I Feel Safest – one of Sharptone Records’ flagship releases – was a long time coming. With vocalist Brian Wille establishing himself as one of the scene’s more notable voices, anticipation for new music soon reached a fever pitch. With the 5 song EP I Let The Devil In released in late 2018 as a tide-over, the stage is set for the band’s upcoming sophomore full-length, due out in June via Sharptone Records.

Entitled The Way It Ends, the record’s new single, “A Flag To Wave”, is awfully impressive work. Give it a spin below.

“‘A Flag to Wave’ is about the search for identity and purpose,” says singer Brian Wille. “This song goes out to anyone looking for meaning in their lives and to those who have already found it. Over the last four years, we have traveled the world trying to make a name for ourselves — playing shows with some of our favorite bands and touring all over the United States, Europe, the UK, and parts of Canada. We’ve been met with various hardships along the way, but have also been met with unprecedented kindness, support, and friendship that we will cherish and appreciate for the rest of our lives. There are no plans of stopping and with our new record, we plan to hit the world harder than ever.”
