Coma Waves put a fresh twist on a classic sound with “I Don’t Care”

Many forms of art, especially music, are cyclical in nature. Nu-metal emerged in 1994 and started falling out of favor in 2003 with the rise of metalcore, yet nu-metal inspired bands have emerged once again now. So too, does this include bands putting a new twist on grunge and alt-rock inspired music.

South Florida’s Coma Waves are one such band, except their new single “I Don’t Care” falls on the heavier side of the spectrum – with an obvious nu-metalcore influence mixed in with grunge and alt-metal inspiration. It’s moshworthy, but you can actually sing along to it at times as well. It’s actually the band’s third single to date, so you can rest assured this promising outfit have plenty more to say in the coming months.
