Coma Waves + more are playing Scary Neighbor Festival in Tampa on August 31st – don’t miss out

Over the years, Central Florida has always been home to up-and-coming bands from almost any genre of music you can think of. There was of course a particularly important hardcore and metalcore wave that emerged from the area about a decade ago, and Central Florida has always been home to pop-punk and alternative rock bands as well. This makes a new festival being thrown by Scary Neighbor Collective all of the more exciting, if you’re looking for bands and musicians that might end up being the next big thing.

The great thing about Scary Neighbor Festival’s August 31st lineup is that they can go big (up and coming bands like Gilt and Coma Waves are on the bill) and then go home (because Tampa literally is their home). Thankfully, the bill is full of diversity. All of the bands are certainly worth checking out, but there’s a few in particular that do stand out. Coma Waves is splicing together grunge, nu-metal, and metalcore influences, and they’re already getting some early attention. There is of course plenty of post-hardcore and metalcore to go around, as Fiends, Gilt, and Illuminate Me are playing. So yeah, this is gonna be fun.

Tickets available at this location.
