Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) came out strong for spring festival announcements with 2023’s Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival lineup announcement. This year’s Sonic Temple will be over four days on Memorial Day weekend (May 25-28) at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH. Just a few heavy hitters featured on the 80-band bill are Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, KISS, and Foo Fighters.
Sonic Temple has served as the replacement for DWP’s former Rock On the Range festival since 2019. The inaugural 2019 festival included Lamb of God, Ghost, Disturbed, and more. The 2020 festival featuring Metallica and Slipknot inevitably cancelled due to the pandemic; 2021 and 2022 also had no announcements for the same reason.
DWP founder Danny Wimmer made a statement of his own regarding the announcement:
“Columbus, OH is such a special place to Danny Wimmer Presents. It is where the company produced some of the biggest and most acclaimed rock festivals in the United States, so to be able to return home to Historic Crew Stadium to give fans Sonic Temple once again is going to be the highlight of 2023 for us. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back!”
Fans can register for Early Bird presale first access by 10:00 P.M. EST tonight (January 10th) at www.sonictemplefestival.com. Ticket presale is at 10:00 A.M. EST January 11th. Remaining passes after the presale will go to public sale at noon EST on January 12th.
