Motionless In White pivoted from Warped Tour metalcore mainstays to radio rock chart-crashers far better than most. Emerging to the greater public at large with their 2010 album Creatures, they’ve managed to bridge the gap between the two seemingly disparate worlds quite effectively. In fact, their new album, Scoring The End Of The World, even crashed the Billboard 200 at a staggering #12 – proving that their longevity has been no joke. Adeptly able to balance huge, radio-ready rock anthems (“Masterpiece”) while still courting the moshpits and embracing the new generation of heavy bands (“Slaughterhouse”), it’s this dichotomy that has continued to endear Motionless In White to their loyal fans.
Currently on yet another leg of the extremely popular + successful Trinity Of Terror Tour, their currently setlist is comprised of a wide variety of songs across their discography – yet fans of the heavier side of MIW’s music often wonder if a day will come where those moshpit-inducing songs will take up most of their setlist. They might not have to wait forever for that to happen, though. Despite their success, Motionless In White have never forgotten where they came from – and vocalist Chris Motionless has teased the possibility of doing a tour in smaller venues – playing only MIW’s heaviest songs.
hey @ChrisMotionless throw a way back then show so we can freak tf out to older songs, that’s all i want

I would fucking love this. I’ve also wanted to do a “heavy hitters tour” where we play small clubs an only the heavy songs.

This idea isn’t necessarily a new thing, of course. Plenty of bands, when they experience success on a larger scale, like to revisit the venues and areas where they cut their teeth. While there’s obviously no word on when a “throwback” tour like this might happen, it would certainly draw in Motionless In White fans from all eras of their music for a moshpit-inducing good time.
