While being a part of Team Sleep, Crosses, Palms, and of course the alt-metal heroes Deftones, vocalist Chino Moreno is venturing out on his own with a brand new stand-alone solo track, “Brief Exchange”. Inspired by DC’s “Dark Days: The Road To Metal” comic series, it has Chino collaborating teaming with Eminem and 21 Pilots board producer Mike Elizondo, recent Marilyn Manson collaborator Tyler Bates and ex-Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Gil Sharone, thanks to what we know from a recent Revolver post. The new song will be pretty familiar to fans of Moreno’s various projects – falling somewhere between the atmosphere of Crosses and the alt-metal flavor of Deftones’ more recent work – but that doesn’t make it any less effective.
Music. Gaming. Nostalgia. Culture.
