Los Angeles, California based rock group Rivals has made quite the name for themselves since their 2015 debut EP “Haunted/Hunted”. The group found their numbers catapulting following the release of their popular Twenty One Pilots cover. The dark-pop rockers have unleashed their newest song “Fake Rich” featuring Elijah Witt, and it’s one of the band’s most diverse track in terms of transitions and styling. Fake Rich takes the Rivals sound and adds in some nice twists not previously done for the group. I really love the way Rivals approached the build-up of throughout the song. Showcasing the dark-pop rock fusion the band has created. Rivals signed with SmartPunk records for the bands debut album “Damned Soul”, and still is apart of their roster.
Music. Gaming. Nostalgia. Culture.
