Progressive metal may be stagnating, according to some critics, but don’t tell Periphery’s Jake Bowen that. Selling out multiple headlining runs in the last few years, touring with other giants like Devin Townsend Project and Animals As Leaders, and routinely charting high in the Billboard Top 200 aren’t things that should be taken lightly.
On their current headlining tour (with support from Thank You Scientist, Wovenwar, and Nothing More), I had a chance to talk to Jake about a few things, including his electronic side project, Periphery’s new material (Juggernaut Alpha + Omega releasing at month’s end), and the process of developing the new albums.
