Bring Me The Horizon’s ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’ debuts in the Billboard Top 50

Bring Me The Horizon have scored another success with their newest EP/album (whatever you want to call it), Post Human: Survival Horror. While not quite reaching the commercial heights that their previous albums Sempiternal and That’s The Spirit attained, the band’s new EP is a return to form – adeptly merging the band’s peak metalcore era with some of the pop sensibilities of their last couple records. It seems fans have been receptive to it, considering it’s resulted in some of the best reviews of BMTH’s career to date – and the album sales for its first week have been solid as well.

The band charted on multiple Billboard charts, including a debut in the top 50 (#46, to be exact) and 14k equivalent album units moved. While it straddles the line of being an EP or a full-length (9 songs, 32 minutes), that’s still rather impressive. More notably, however, Bring Me The Horizon have become the first act to have seven songs in the top 10 of Billboard’s ‘Hot Hard Rock Songs’ chart, which charts the – wait for it – hottest hard rock songs in the USA. The album also came in at #18 on Billboard’s Top Current Albums, as well. And another nugget of statistical analysis – despite being released less than a month ago, the album’s huge single “Teardrops” has already clocked in at 12.5 million Spotify streams and counting. Judging by this, it’s on pace to be one of the biggest BMTH songs to date.
