This is still a developing story, but former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver vocalist Scott Weiland has reportedly died at the age of 48. Cause of death isn’t known at this time, but TMZ is reporting that he was found dead on his bus before a show. Stay tuned below for more info and updates as we get them.
Weiland was primarily known as the vocalist of Stone Temple Pilots for many years, experiencing success with albums Core and Purple at the height of the grunge era. He also fronted the successful Velvet Revolver project in the mid-2000’s.
Weiland has famously battled substance abuse issues, but it’s unknown whether they were the cause of death.
