The New Kids on the Block Magic Summer Tour made a stop in Tinley Park, IL on June 15th bringing along a colorful party.  Due to production issues, Paula Abdul was unable to perform but that didn’t seem to ruin the fun.

The night kicked off with a set from DJ Jazzy Jeff.  Everyone was on their feet dancing along to throwback hits by Skee-Lo,  Journey, and Bon Jovi.  He mixed in some hits from Beyoncé and Bruno Mars and even threw in some TV show theme songs…of course, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’s theme song was played.

NKOTB asked fans to dress in neon colors and there was no shortage of bright colors throughout the audience.  The group started their set with “Magic,” the opening track from their newly released album, Still Kids.  Mixed with songs from their new album were the songs that kicked off their career in the 1990s.  Hits like “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “Please Don’t Go Girl,” and “Step by Step” appeared in the 27 song set.

Halfway through the set, Mark, Donnie, Joey, Jordan, and Danny made their way to the center of the crowd to perform a few songs and interact with their fans.  The sold out show brought screams and lots of dancing the entire night but the loudest screams were for the local guy, Donnie.  Every time Donnie yelled, “Chicago” the screams amplified.

Blockheads were out in full force and the guys did not disappoint!
