Bad Omens are in the studio recording what appears to be their fourth full-length album

It’s been almost 18 months since Bad Omens released their third full-length album, The Death Of Peace Of Mind. Utilizing a true “throw everything and the kitchen sink” approach to songwriting, the 15 track behemoth has resulted in a Gold certification for “Just Pretend”, with ones likely coming shortly for the title track and “Like A Villain”. A staggering achievement this would be for a rock album released in 2022, but the band’s genre-blurring approach to music has worked exceedingly well in their favor.

Almost 18 months after releasing the album, though, they’ve seen their shows sell out in mere minutes. They’ve also apparently started work on their untitled fourth full-length album, and while we don’t know what it’ll sound like just yet, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Bad Omens throw multiple genres into the mix yet again. Some NIN-esque industrial influences (that popped up on tracks like “What Do You Want From Me?”)? More overt pop and R&B influences? A good mix of everything but in a more refined and experienced way? Only time will tell, of course.
