Australian metalcore upstarts Polaris announce they’re working on their third full-length album

In November of 2017, Australian metalcore band Polaris released their debut album, The Mortal Coil. Released to critical acclaim in Australia and beyond, the record almost immediately cemented Polaris as an upstart band to watch – not a small thing considering Australia is a serious export of the genre (among others). One full-length and numerous sold-out tours later, though, where do Polaris go on their third full-length album?

Well, we’ll find that out rather soon apparently. Polaris was spotted in the studio recently, where they’re officially record their third full-length album. While it has no timetable for imminent release or anything like that, it’ll be interesting to hear what direction the band takes from here. After all, their riff-heavy metalcore is distinct and well-composed. A possible hint might be their recently collaboration with Australia’s PhaseOne, where electronics and metalcore combine to create something massive. If you haven’t listened to “Icarus”, it bangs. That is all.
