All That Remains have, well, remained one of metalcore’s most enduring acts over the years. Emerging into the public consciousness with 2006’s The Fall Of Ideals, the band quickly become one of the genre’s more exciting bands. While they moved into a more commercially palatable (and successful) sound on subsequent albums, there’s no doubt their 2008 album Overcome helped bridge the gap between eras.
Their single “Two Weeks” off that album, is undoubtedly one of their most beloved songs. With much more singing from vocalist Phil LaBonte (but still plenty of heaviness), it’s the perfect song to introduce to new fans of the genre. Now, the song has reached a very significant milestone for the band.
The single has now become the band’s first Platinum-certified single by the RIAA, denoting sales of over one million units. Considering how rare it is for any metalcore band to reach a milestone like that, there’s no doubt this is a big accomplishment for All That Remains. They also have two other Gold-certified singles, so this isn’t their first rodeo. But still.
