Album Of The Week: War Baby’s “Death Sweats” Is A Grand Throwback To The Seattle Scene

One album that captivated my attention this week is the work of War Baby, a band clearly indebted to the Seattle scene of the late 80’s and early 90’s (think: Bleach-era Nirvana, Melvins, early Soundgarden, and a little Black Sabbath), the band recently released their sophomore album, Death Sweats, a couple weeks ago. I’m left disappointed not having discovered this band before – they’re certainly not rip-offs of the aforementioned bands, but they’re certainly inspired by them.
