AEW Rampage – Episode 71 (12.09.2022) (Wrestling Review)

AEW

Rampage

Cedar Park, Texas

Dec. 9th, 2022

Singles Match
Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita

A straight forward fight to the finish here and it was great. Sure Mox bleeds a ton but matches like this where its a fight nonstop it works well. Takeshita continues to wow the AEW crowd and with fights like this its easy to see why.

Regina Di WAVE Title Match
Hikaru Shida (c) vs. The Bunny (w/Penelope Ford)

Given that this was for a random title Shida has The Bunny stood no chance. This was fun though and shows The Bunny off well. I doubt she will ever have a successful womens run in AEW but she’s a good worker who plays her heel role well.

3 / 5

Tag Team Match
Clayton Bloodstone & Izzy James vs. The Firm (Big Bill & Lee Moriarty) (w/Stokely Hathaway)

Squash.

AEW All-Atlantic Title Match
Orange Cassidy (w/Chuck Taylor, Danhausen & Trent Beretta) (c) vs. Trent Seven (w/Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford)

Once this got going it was fine. The outside brawl was unneeded and hindered this but from mid point on it was good. Trent was a fun surprise and Orange did his thing as always and proves he’s a good in ring talent outside the gimmick.
