AEW Dynamite – Episode 143 “Blood And Guts” (06.29.2022) (Wrestling Review)

A very mediocre match coming off Oranges phenomenal match at Forbidden Door. Page continues to just not look good and lost here. I know Page has the talent but he’s just constantly booked without any hope for him and as a character in AEW we’ve seen nothing other than generic heel.

FTR continue to be the best tag in the world possibly and never can give a bad match. Comedy aspects here worked because of Danhausen. A fun match that had a good pace and didn’t overstay its welcome. Also makes Gunn Club vs The Acclaimed a feud to watch.

Squash. Jade doesn’t face people often for long so her reign doesn’t look as dominate as they’d hope for.

The blood and guts match is always fun. This was almost 50 minutes of the crowd being red hot into it too which deserves massive credit. It had everything you wanted with fun spots, blood, and weapons. Made sense for Jerichos team to lose and this could lead to a Eddie / Claudio feud with Eddie feeling ripped off that he didn’t get to make Jericho tap. Some minor issues with the match though that are easily overlooked at this epic of a match being so much fun to watch.
