Battle Of The Belts 3

Grand Rapids, Michigan

Aug. 6th, 2022

AEW TNT Title Match
Wardlow (c) vs. Jay Lethal (w/Satnam Singh & Sonjay Dutt)

Clearly Wardlow isn’t losing the belt anytime soon and Lethal at least makes you look like a credible win. Nothing special here really at all though. Wardlow really shines when he dominates or faces someone his size.

2 / 5

AEW Women’s World Title Match
Thunder Rosa (w/Toni Storm) (c) vs. Jamie Hayter (w/Dr. Britt Baker DMD & Rebel)

A decent match. Rosas title reign has been mediocre and uneventful at best mostly. Hayter is good and underused but I can’t see Rosa holding the belt past All Out. A few rough spots here though. Not sure if Rosa has had issues lately but there is always problems in her matches.

2.75 / 5

ROH World Title Match
Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita

A match that felt like an old school ROH fight. No story but just two guys going at it to see who is the best. A lot of great moves, close calls, and it had the crowd going for 20 minutes. Both Castagnoli and Takeshita both walk out of this looking like top tier guys.
