AEW

Battle Of The Belts 2

Garland, Texas

April 16th, 2022

AEW TNT Title Match
Scorpio Sky (w/Dan Lambert) (c) vs. Sammy Guevara (w/Tay Conti)

A decent match that didn’t rely on a ton of big spots or close falls here. The ref ran rules super loose though here with interference and ending it with Sammy cheating continued their story line. The end just felt off though especially for a bigger title match.

ROH World Title Match
Jonathan Gresham (c) vs. Dalton Castle (w/Boy 1 & Boy 2)

This really came off as a slow average match. Too many moments that came off goofy and too choreographed in a match that was suppose to be for a pure title. Dalton showed throughout that he didn’t have a chance to win either. The finisher looked good but that’s about all.

2 / 5

AEW Women’s World Title Match
Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Nyla Rose

A rather flat, uneventful, and mediocre main event here. It showed Thunder Rosa as a strong babyface champ but just sort of moved along. Here and there we got a good moment but it always looked like Nyla never had a chance to win. Add in a roll up finisher that just ended the match with no excitement and this was a rather lackluster way to end the card and match.
