Fight Club Night One “The Art Of War Games”

Atlantic City, New Jersey

Oct. 7th, 2023

Singles Match
Tony Deppen vs. Alec Price

This was a fine opener. Deppen is always a solid heel who can put on a good match.

Non Title Four Way Match
Joey Janela vs. Jordan Oliver vs. Masha Slamovich vs. Jack Cartwheel

A lot of big spots move but this just never delivered for me. A 4 way match usually doesn’t drag but this did to me.

Singles Match
Richard Holliday vs. Charles Mason (w/Parrow)

Another one that dragged. I get the story going here with Mason and all that but the middle of this match just put a halt on everything.

Ten Man Tag Team Match
A Bunch Of Guys (Brayden Toon, Cole Radrick, Dyln McKay, Marcus Mathers & Shane Mercer) vs. SGSuperCunt (1 Called Manders, Allie Katch, Effy, Mance Warner & Sawyer Wreck)

A brawl that was just all over the place. It was fun and dumb.

3 / 5

GCW World Title Match
Blake Christian (c) vs. Jimmy Lloyd

This was somewhat quick. No one thought Jimmy would win but he didn’t even close close falls outside the beginning really.

2.5 / 5

War Games Match
Team FREEDOMS (Jun Kasai, Masashi Takeda, Takashi Sasaki, Toru Sugiura & Violento Jack) vs. Team GCW (Ciclope, John Wayne Murdoch, Miedo Extremo, Nick Gage & Rina Yamashita)

This was crazy fun as expected. Was it the best one they’ve had, no, but this was still great with the Freedoms crew in here. The scaffold spot in particular looked brutal and Kasai I’d bet is coming back for some more singles matches here. It played out exactly like you’d think for the most part. JWM getting eliminated early on was odd though.
