Is it lucky #8 for Linkin Park? Probably. Buoyed by the surge of renewed interest in their sophomore album Meteora for its 20th anniversary, the album has surged to a staggering #8 on the Billboard 200, along with “Lost” reaching #1 on multiple rock charts around the world.
Furthermore, Meteora has also been certified 8x Platinum by the RIAA, denoting sales of 8 million copies in the USA. One of the most popular albums of the 21st century and one of the most highly-anticipated sophomore albums by any rock or metal band ever, the record cemented Linkin Park’s success with multiple hit singles. “Numb”, “Faint”, “Somewhere I Belong”, and “Breaking The Habit” no doubt dominated rock radio, and the record led to tours supporting the likes of Metallica – as well as their own status as arena headliners. Classic, really.
