Virginia post-hardcore band Solarset are onto something big. With a sound that brings to mind the more melodic side of the genre, the band’s new EP Let’s Get Personal is an electric injection of energy into a genre that could always use more excitement. Kinda like the new item in Pokemon’s Generation 9 games, Booster Energy.
Anyway, enough Pokémon references. Having already played shows with the likes of Secrets and Dead American recently, anything is possible when you have a vocalist as versatile as Russ Bradshaw. The future, needless to say, is quite bright for this young band. So too, is the present.
