Coheed & Cambria’s new album Vaxis II: A Window Of The Waking Mind is out today, but it’s clear the progressive icons have more important things on their minds after the Supreme Court decided to roll back the landmark Roe Vs. Wade decision. And it’s pretty clear where Coheed and Cambria stand on this issue.
They’ll be donating a minimum of $25,000 to the Center For Reproductive Rights on the Oklahoma City date of their upcoming tour, and that’s a pretty sizable statement to make – even for a band of their size. That date is August 20th, and that also comes with the caveat that it might be more than $25,000 – a huge amount for a band to contribute.
In light of today’s Roe V. Wade Supreme Court decision and Oklahoma’s recent near-total ban on abortion, we will be donating all profits (min $25,000) from our Oklahoma City show (August 20) to the Center for Reproductive Rights.https://t.co/GDgn9Dqrig pic.twitter.com/vYVSG6yB9f
