Spiritbox’s debut album ‘Eternal Blue’ lives up to the hype and then some – stream it here

If you’ve been paying any attention, you know the hype train for Canadian metal band Spiritbox has been off the rails the last 12-24 months or so. And why not? The band has gained plenty of attention from even outside the traditional rock and metal circles, even reaching 650,000 monthly listeners on Spotify as of the time of this posting. Pretty huge stuff, and it helps that the music is great – when you’re led by a vocalist as talented as Courtney LaPlante, and a rhythm section that is great at songwriting, you’re bound to do exciting things.

On a stacked day for releases from Employed To Serve, The Plot In You, and many more, Spiritbox’s Eternal Blue – which is out now – is a startlingly good reminder that sometimes, bands do live up to the massive hype that surrounds them. It’s great from the jump, too – opener “Sun Killer” is one of the best non-singles here – but it’s all worth waiting for. Stream it below.
