Music and video games – two artforms that go together extremely well. Let’s be honest, how many bands these days boot up a laptop on the road to play video games older than they are, or even brand new ones? Pretty much everyone. How many bands are tackling video game music, though? Not enough – A Sense Of Purpose recently did this with a Zelda-related composition, and now acclaimed guitarist Jason Richardson (ex-All Shall Perish/Chelsea Grin/Born Of Osiris) is taking his own stab at the Zelda Fairy Song, which you can check out below.
Fresh off a tour where he supported Polyphia and Covet, Richardson is proving his abilities even further on his own with 2016’s solo effort I, which featured an array of guests including Lucas Magyar and Spencer Sotelo (Veil Of Maya/Periphery, respectively). If you’re not familiar with his body of work, now’s the time to get with the program, because he’s just one of a generation of supremely talented musicians that deserve to get noticed.
