In a city where venues are dropping like flies one venue has a chance to renew and show the residents that the Charlotte, NC music scene will never die. Why? Find out more below.

The Milestone is a place where bands of all popularity have played. From Nirvana to a local garage band playing their first show. The atmosphere of this place has always revolved around the music. That’s always been my favorite part of smaller venues is the closeness you feel with other show goers and the staff of the place. Everyone is family and that keeps the music alive. With great venues like The Chop Show, Tremont, and Tommy’s Pub shutting down a lot of people have been devastated by the loss of so many great venues. But with all negative things come the positive, there is a chance to restore this venue to its full potential.

There is a lot of work that needs to be done, a new roof is needed, the second floor is in unsafe conditions, and all this is important for the functionality of this business. A GoFundMe is set up with a goal of $150,000. The importance of keeping music alive in Charlotte is way bigger than just some bands dreams of getting big. This brings people together, this unites people together that would otherwise never speak a word to each other. We can’t let yet another venue die, music must live on in this area. Below is a video that will help put things in a better perspective:
