Central Florida’s Burial Joy are now two for two in the singles department in 2024. Previous single “Prospect” and new one “God’s Teeth” both display sold songwriting for a new band, but the best part is that they both defy easy categorization. With clear influences from Fear Before The March Of Flames, post-hardcore, metalcore, and even a little electronic-infused post-black metal, Burial Joy strays far from a copy + paste formula. Which is good, considering they’re clearly quite musically gifted.
One can only wonder what upcoming music will hold for Burial Joy, but anyone in Central Florida (and beyond, if you like to travel) can attend their album release show in a couple weeks. This is a band with blowup potential, so strike while the iron is hot.
