Vocalist Ashley Allen recently selected 5 albums that had a massive impact on her. Check out her answers after the jump.
1. Britney Spears – …Baby One More Time
I remember the first time I saw the Baby One More Time music video. I was maybe in 4th grade and home sick from school. My mouth dropped that was the day I fell in love with pop music.
2. The Used – Taste of Ink
The Used for me was the band that started it all for me. Once I discovered The Used, Warped Tour was where you could find me every Summer hanging with friends and dancing around.
3. The Wombats – A Guide to Love, Loss, and Desperation
Roadtrips is when I would blast this album with my best friend. This album definitely brings back some amazing and crazy memories.
4. Lily Allen – Alright, Still
There was always something about Lily Allen that I loved. Maybe it’s her quirkiness, but she always seemed so real in terms of the songs she would write. In my eyes that is what makes a great artist.
5. Paramore – All We Know Is Falling
When I first discovered Paramore I absolutely fell in love. I think the main reason, besides the fact that Hayley has the voice of an angel, was that I always felt a connection to Hayley. We are the same age and style growing up. I saw a lot of myself when I would see her perform and really just respect her completely as an artist.
