Few Australian bands of the last 25 years have been more influential and popular than alternative rock band Silverchair. From the moment their debut album Frogstomp was released in 1995, they simply exploded into worldwide recognition. Much more than just a typical post-grunge band, though, Silverchair evolved over time to create albums like career highlight Diorama, simply a brilliant art rock record that didn’t completely abandon their past, either.
Clearly an influence on a generation of Australian rock bands, popular bands like The Amity Affliction, Tonight Alive, and many more are paying tribute to the legacy Silverchair left behind by starring on a cover album called “Spawn (Again): A Tribute To Silverchair”.
