“Melodic hardcore” might not be the best genre description for the band Years End. Their debut album, 2016’s Ring Of Bone, has a more timeless and chaotic quality to it – evoking memories of everyone from recent ETID, to the calmer moments of recent Deftones records, to even early/mid-period Architects. Yet, Years End forges a specific identity, one that isn’t specific to any of the aforementioned bands – but one they can easily call their own. It’s only a matter of time before they gain a wider audience.
Perhaps that time is now. We’re teaming up with Years End to premiere the new video for their track, “Prime”. You can find that below, as well as the stream for Ring Of Bone – it’s a highly recommended purchase that would have made our Best Of 2016 list, had it not been released in December.
