Show Review/Photo Gallery: September Mourning

Artist: September Mourning
Venue: The Warehouse

Location: Clarksville, TN

Date: 09/24/15

I had the privilege of catching September Mourning for the first time and was blown away by the show. It was an overall great night of music and performances by both Perpetual Dementia and Thira, before September Mourning took to the stage and delivered one of the most electric performances I’ve had the honor of watching.

It’s safe to say that metal is no longer a genre only for men by men. There have always been female musicians, but never as many successful and truly talented as there are in the genre today.
It’s always interesting to see a feminine take on such an intense sound, and September Mourning do a phenomenal job of blending heavy riffs and crushing drums with beautiful vocal melodies.
September Mourning has quickly become one of my favorite bands and escalated to the top of my list of bands that are a must-watch.
September has one of the cleanest singing voices with just the right amount of aggression to really push their sound to the next level. Truly one of the most dynamic vocalists of today’s metal scene and just one facet of the band that sets them far apart from any other band that’s out right now.
It would be hard to pick out a single moment that stood out beyond the rest from such an energetic show. From beginning to end, the band delivered an outstanding performance that cannot be missed.

Be sure to keep up with the band HERE for information on their upcoming debut Comic Book and EP release!
