It’s been a long 3.5 years since popular post-metallers Lantlos released the excellent Melting Sun, an album that blurred the lines between post-rock, shoegaze, and many more genres. It’s an album that landed on many a best-of list, including our own. While many fans bemoaned the lack of activity as possibly meaning Lantlos had broken up, those dimmed hopes are now shining again with the announcement that the band’s upcoming album, Wildhund, is being recorded right now. Though currently without a release date, it’s clear that new material is on the way. Check out an Instagram post from the band detailing more about the new material below – the comment section in particular reveals that they’re “not going back to their roots”.
