Since we couldn’t do it Friday, here’s a bunch of new EP’s and full-lengths that were released just a few days ago. All of them are streamable below, and worth checking out – Icon For Hire’s new album (fully crowdfunded), The Weeknd’s new album Starboy, some fairly standard 2010’s post-hardcore in Half Hearted, and quite a few more. Stay tuned after the jump.

Half Hearted (Terrified

Half Hearted’s EP Terrified is generally by the books 2010’s post-hardcore/metalcore, with a solid singing performance that occasionally overshadows the rest of the band.

Thieves (No Motive)

The energy of your favorite pop-punk bands, with more technicality than you’d expect. That’s No Motive in a nutshell.

VO/ID (OHMs/Failures)

Noisy Washington DC-based post-hardcore outfit. Noisy post-hardcore is the operative genre, though. If you like Full Of Hell but less abrasive, this three track EP will probably be up your alley.

Icon For Hire (You Can’t Kill Us)

It’s kind of a miracle this album even exists, considering the band’s acrimonious departure from their record label. But it’s the fans who came through, shuttling over $100,000 to make it happen without the need for a label. And though the guitars are fading to the background even more than their self-titled album, the good songwriting and catchy melodies from Icon For Hire are still present.

The Weeknd (Starboy)

5 years after the highly acclaimed Trilogy was released, The Weeknd (one Abel Tesfaye) is at the top of the pop mainstream. Starboy simply continues that winning streak.

Science Of Sleep (Hellmouth)

Like the more death metal side of deathcore? Cool, you’ll like this. The drums smash, and the vocalist is possessed.
