THE PLOT IN YOU has shone light on their official departure from Rise Records and has revealed that they are finishing an upcoming record, (which hasn’t been given a name to the public yet), as well as letting fans know that they are indeed signed to a new label that will be announced in the future.

If you had any expectations for The Plot in You’s new music to sound like any other generic metalcore band, or even any of their prior sounds; you will want to leave those expectations at the door before you step foot near their new music video for “My Old Ways”.

The song in itself starts out aggressively, the lyrics having the same phrasing as “Nothing Leaves This Room” from their debut album “First Born”, but with a whole different approach musically. It’s still deep and dark, this much has definitely not changed from what you know about The Plot in You – but it’s written and played out in a totally different aspect that you probably wouldn’t expect from Plot. The unrestricted lyrics and heartwrenching and ample instrumentals paired together to bring you this song that will probably forever leave an impressive mark as the first single for this upcoming album. You can view the music video for “My Old Ways” below.
