Interview: Cory Lockwood (ex-A Lot Like Birds) announces new crowdfunded book

After a nearly decade-long career which saw them amass a devoted following in the progressive post-hardcore scene, A Lot Like Birds officially called it quits earlier this year. Since the band played their final show last month at Sacramento’s First Fest, there has been rampant speculation about what creative endeavors each of the band members would turn their sights to next. And perhaps the most attention of all has been paid to the future of the band’s primary vocalist and lyricist, Cory Lockwood.

Dance Gavin Dance take you on a “Midnight Crusade”

Dance Gavin Dance are back with a bang. After weeks of teasing, the Sacramento post-hardcore juggernaut has returned with the first single (and music video) from their eighth studio album Artificial Selection, due out June 8th on Rise Records. LIVE VIDEO: Sufferer at The Boardwalk (Sacramento, CA)

One of the most unique post-hardcore supergroups to emerge in recent years has finally made their live debut. Sufferer, the conceptual project detailing a day in the life of a person suffering from anxiety and depression, consists of members of A Lot Like Birds, Hail the Sun, and I the Mighty, and has garnered substantial buzz in the genre following the release of their self-titled debut album last September.
